Finance: Math and Money – Do the math. Percentages, sliding scales, compounding and risk factors... Students and teachers will participate in the "investment game" and find out how money does what for whom. With Social Security private investing being discussed, everyone needs to be informed about stocks, real estate, bonds, gold, dividends, securities, CDs, etc. Minds make money! Grades: 9 - 12 Young Mathematicians Day + Each participating student will be a mathematician for a day of interactive, situational, real-world tasks to "hook" the imagination and memories of the young to the wonder and power of mathematics. Grade: 5 Young Scientists Day + Each participating student will be a scientist for a day of interactive, situational, real-world tasks to "hook" the imagination and memories of the young to the wonder and power of science.
